<hi style=afpcap>The Beech AT-11 Kansan evolved from the AT-7 for bombing and gunnery training. Special navigation equipment was removed and replaced by a bomb-bay in the fuselage, while the nose was reshaped with a bomb-aimers position, and nose and dorsal guns fitted. More than 1,500 were producted, with the majority serving with Air Training Command. The example illustrated served with ATC at Randolph Field, Texas.</hi>
